I realize the scope of my question. Chinese food has been a part of New York City and New Yorkers history for a long time. Any favorites of years past that are long closed, this is the place to reminisce. My favorite these days is probably a restaurant called Imperial Palace in Flushing Queens.

I don't even know the name. All I know is it's in Flushing, Have been going there for years, and will continue to go back as long as it stays open. I'm loyal.

Won Shoon on Rutgers and East Broadway in Chinatown Manhattan. The food is real good, and there is never a line. They have dim sum, and char siu items.

There is that new mall on Main St in Flushing, and Roosevelt. There is a cafeteria in the basement, and one of the restaurants does soft shell crabs, and lobster in five different flavors: HK style, XO sauce, Basil, Ginger w/Scallion, Szechuan. And it is only like $8.

I like M & T Restaurant on Kissena Blvd. in Flushing as it has Qingdao/Shandong-style Chinese food which can't be had any place else in NYC as far as I know.
