I have a small dog and cat and will soon be looking for my own apt, preferably in Queens or Brooklyn. How much do New York landlords usually charge for pets? Especially since I have two, albeit small ones? I'd prefer a 1-bedroom for sure. Where are pet-friendly places?
Really?? I always see so many dogs out and about? I thought west Brooklyn was supposed to be pretty dog-friendly. Not true? Anyone have any advice? I love my dog and would never give him up. My cat, neither.
I don't think they charge extra for pets, it's just that there are buildings that allow pets and others that don't. You just have to look for those who do.

I've been looking for shares that allow pets because I want a cat (grew up with them, parents moved with them). I haven't had a lot of luck, but I've seen some. You'll find some, but you'll have to be very open-minded with the apartments. I'm probably going to end up accepting a smaller, more expensive apartment because it allows pets. I know how it is trying to find an apartment with a pet. You'll find one though :-)
