going from Broadway and Lakeview Pl in Riverdale to 5030 Broadway at 213th street in Inwood

taking #9 bus to 228th street and transferring to the # 7 or 20

Should take under 45 minutes. I heard the Bx7 can be unreliable at times for whatever reasons (I guess since you have everybody in Riverdale trying to get to the (1), the buses get crowded and delayed). The Bx20 runs rush hours, and it's shorter, so it should be more reliable. Google Transit says 27 minutes, but I'd add in the extra waiting time.

As you probably know, there's the (1) as a backup if there's a really bad delay on the Bx7/20.

I would check the MTA trip planner which can also give you time estimates.
