Well, I don't know about you guys, but I am definitely looking forward to the next round of originality and creativity to come flowing out of the Borough.
Has anyone watched Brooklyn Boheme? The documentary starts off as just that: a documentary. It focuses on the history of the neighborhood, the writers, musicians, etc. Then it kinda swerves off track where it's Rosie Perez, Spike Lee, Chris Rock, Bradford Marsalis, etc. reminiscing about parties, girls, etc., etc. Then it gets to a chapter on "Gentrification" where they're all like, "Man, this neighborhood used to be da bomb until these mofos showed up and ruined it." Of course, they don't say that, but that was the underlying message.
That HAS to be doctored... No rap fan is going to buy that. Looks yummy though.
