I was just going to advocate for his candidacy here. He has a good shot I feel. RG made NYC a safe place, MB made it economically strong, and Liu will make NYC a smart place. You can expect to see most NYC schools will perform above national average 4th year into Liu's mayoral term. Go Liu!
No. His past criminal campaign antics are a non-starter for me. He wouldn't even be in this race if we hadn't been able to find someone to take the fall for him.
I don't think he can win with the scandal hovering over him
I met him twice in person. Nice & sharp guy.....he has a good memory. Personally I feel that slick hair he has gives a feeling of a cheap salesman look...meaning not trustworthy...or maybe something gangster about that look.

Nailed it.
He could've been a choice, but the scandal is gonna take its toll down the road. So he's a no go.
And worse part about the current crop of candidates is that; they all suck.
I like Liu and some of his ideas. However even if he is clean--and he has been investigated forever--I'd worry now that the people he'd bring into his administration would not be. He's a good man, but I'm not sure I trust his judgement about people.
According to city-data, which we all know is a true reflection of nyc opinion, the chinese are a hated population here. Therefore a chinaman will never be elected mayor.

That's bull. Has nothing to do with his skin color.
I would have voted for him, in fact I liked him even before the mayoral race started but then that scandal made me think twice. Prior, he seemed to be one who wanted to make changes for the good. Now that scandal made him look like another corrupt politician.
