I love the warm weather but cannot enjoy NYC summers at all. Really gross. And yesterday and downpoured in the city and it felt hotter AFTER it rained.
Lol, New York is beautiful in the summer compared to almost everywhere else I've lived. Memphis and St. Louis are on a whole new level when it comes to humidity.

Don't you hate that? Not only is it hotter but sticky, wet, sloppy and just plain icky.
The smell of rotting garbage throughout Manhattan is always exciting. They really should come up with a new plan because smelling all of that garbage in this heat is literally nauseating.

Lol. I'm in London right now and the weather is beautiful and idyllic...A world apart from home. The city is also truly gorgeous in the sun: Hardly any trash, clutter and dog poop in sight, and none of the suffocating smell of festering trash everywhere. Their subway could do with AC though, probably not as desperately needed like in ny.
For those who complain New York's summer is too hot and humid, they should get their passport ready and travel more. New York's summer far from the hottest and most humid.
The humidity is not bad imo. If you grew up in Colorado or SF, then I could see how you'd be suffering. But I actually prefer some humidity. It holds the heat in at night and can make summer evenings more comfortable than what you have out West.
The subway is bad though. Especially if you're wearing a suit.
