(I don't see the trip from Astoria to North Bergen, Hudson County, in 20 minutes without a helicopter. But maybe he could pull off Fort Lee.)
Good points!

He could also go through the Lincoln Tunnel, which would take him directly to Hudson County but has its own travel issues.

Yes, helicopter's probably the best idea.

$20 in tolls per day is $400 in tolls per month... Do you really want to spend $5k per year in tolls?

I don't know if there's a way to reduce the cost, but even if you cut it in half, that's a lot of money.

If you feel ok with that $20, then it's quit ok.

And that doesn't even include parking so add another 5K, plus gas so maybe up to $15,000 to commute to Manhattan. Definitely worth it for a guy making $150,000 a year instead of 40K in buttfuhk new jersey

You joined a forum to dredge up a three+ year-old post and answer it? And after all that, had no energy to type an e?

Drunk posting is never a good idea.

Much easier to take Njtransit out of NY than driving unless the place is not reachable by mass transit. You better off moving or not take the job.

If you are making over $150k in NJ, then living in NY is a bad idea. Ask your tax guy.
