Some repubs in NYC are saying that De blasio's children are not really his. They claim to have evidence that they were adopted. I don't know if these rumors are true or not, but if they are true will voters view this as deception?

Nobody cares who his kids are. The only thing the moderates who are going to decide this thing care about is the fact that De Blasio is going to have the Rev Al Sharpton standing behind him, cheering him on. Most voters still remember the 70's & 80's around here. They remember the crime, the blight, the fact that you couldn't ride the subway alone, the fact that there were no jobs, and the bankruptcy. As annoying as Bloomberg was, the moderates arent going to pull the lever to vote for a David Dinkens replay.

Has he ever explicitly said that they're his biological kids? So who cares...

Doesn't bother me. His kids love him, and that matters a lot more.

I hope this guy does not accepts sharpton endorsement. Sharpton and his rethoric is known for alienating voters.

It would create a bigger stir if he declined sharpton's endorsement. It's far smarter to just accept it and move on.

Anyway, it's not like sharpton is a real civil rights leader worth his salt who really threatens the status quo. LOL For goodness sake, he's just a host on MSNBC.

I don't think it would matter. Most are far more concerned about what he will bring to the table as mayor.

Adopted or not, they are his children. What possible good could come out of exploring this any further? If the children are adopted, perhaps they do not know it. And that is their parent's choice. It's not deception to not declare the origin of your children. It's private family business.

Nobody will give a damn if they're his or not.

Seriously. Is this 1913, instead of 2013??

Maybe he didn't want to tell them they were adopted until they were older?

I don't believe they're adopted. I bet any amount of money BLOOMBERG said this dumb mess.

De Blasio's life story is a bit strange. At around 30 he changes his name from Warren Wilhelm to Bill de Blasio. He married an activist lesbian who apparently is now heterosexual (therapy for such a change is illegal in some states including NJ). He uses his kids in his ads and some think Dante was "the" turning point in the election. You can't use them strategically in the campaign and then claim privacy. He worked for Andrew Cuomo, and election campaigns for David Dinkins and Hillary Clinton, yet none of them endorsed him in the primary.

Just who is this guy really?
