Take a look at All Hallows Institute, off of 164th and the Grand Concourse. It is consistantly rated among the top 50 Catholic High Schools in America. Although the majority of the students are poor, there is a lot of financial aid/scholarships available. Last year, the First Lady visited the school.

Great find NooYowkur !

Hopefully some of the stats contained within, like graduation rates, college entrance rates and the wide disbursement across all boroughs can help to dispel some of the outdated thinking about public high schools in NYC.While there is definitely much room for improvement, stats like some of these were thought to be impossible 20 years ago.

Not really the case since kids go to hs's all over the city. There's bad high schools in good manhattan neighborhoods.
