I'm going out on a limb with this one and assume you're not a troll.
It's not the worst area, but not the best either. Actually crime-wise I would consider the immediate area around the Grant Avenue train station pretty safe. Mostly Indo-Guyanese population. The bad side to the neighborhood is that it looks very run-down, so it appears worse than what it actually is. The good side to the neighborhood is that there's a lot of shopping on Liberty Avenue. Which leads to another con - street parking is absolutely horrid. Not so bad on the weekends, but forget about it during the week.
The C train does not stop at Grant. Last stop for the C train is Euclid Avenue.

There's a "Black Cowboy" club over the line in Queens that Grant is the closest subway stop to. Not uncommon to see dudes in full rodeo gear at the station. The heroin thing is self-explanatory, and every time I've been there when it rains the streets flood, ankle-high water...

I know about the Black Cowboys...but why would somebody moving to the area care about that? As for the heroin, I don't use heroin, I would have no idea what are the characteristics of a neighborhood where a lot of heroin users live. Didn't know the Guyanese liked heroin. And the area around Grant Avenue train station never floods. If you're talking about the Hole that floods in a bad rainstorm, then yes, but when I speak of the area directly around the train station I am talking about north to Liberty and southern border the Popeye's on Conduit.

Understood on the boundaries. All I meant was that the Black Cowboys, the hole that floods, and the dealers (who are not Guyanese but Dominican and White) are what stands out about the neighborhood in my mind. That, and the retro vibe of the station itself.
