Quick check before I do my research. I'll be moving back to Manhattan soon and am looking for a personal driver to drive me around the city part time. Anyone work in this industry who can provide input? I have car so I just need a driver. Probably use my new Range Rover.

You could always ask local hookers. *LOL*

Do you have a driver license? If yes, then why you can't drive yourself?

$50000-$150000 a year depending on training, duties, benefits etc.

You want ex-SAS or ex-Mossad where they have extra duties or if you are worried about kidnapping then toward the upperend if you want a driver and only a driver and provide room and board then the lower end.

Don didn't have a driver, you're thinking of Mr. Big.

It was Greg House who would have hookers do non-hooking-related tasks like driving.

Generally, if you have to ask you can't afford it.

Who told you that, a self-proclaimed "expert" from CNBC?

I can more than afford it but I don't want to overpay. Some ask for $40k and others ask for $80k. Since the transportation industry is big in NYC I am guessing someone here must be a driver.

Very reputable company: WeDriveU

Basically $38/hr with a 3 hr min. Driver makes $18/hr plus whatever you tip him. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. You don't want some guy making $10/hr driving your $80,000 car.
