New Nike sneakers were released over the weekend, sparking fisticuffs between consumers fighting to be among the first to pay $170 for the latest in mass-produced footwear. In the Bronx, a chaotic scene erupted outside a Foot Locker on East 151st Street, where a crowd gathered to behold the wonder of the Air Jordan XI ‘Gamma Blue’ and a fight broke out.

Sad but not surprising....same seen at shopping venues across the country for whatever the latest product is, or "crazy sale." We are just animals after all.

Yes...as important as crushing people to death to save $10 on a microwave at wal-mart on Black Friday, and beating a rival fan to near death during a basketball/football/any sports game, etc. it's not ghetto culture or sneakers, it's human behavior.

I swear some people are too impatient. This is why I never go to Grand openings, "Mega Sales" , or do Black Friday etc. It
s not worth it.

a Bunch of animals fighting over a pair of jordans. SMH. I bet any money these folks wear air jordans to a funeral. Actually I saw people wear air jordans to a funeral some weeks ago. SMH.
