When you owe so many people tons of money, you will inevitably be wacked....this was no surprise. He was as shady as a forest.

If it was inevitable, the streets of certain neighborhoods would be littered with burning dumpsters!
Frankly, I'm surprised that it doesn't happen more often.
Remember, the current theory in this case, is that the death was an accident. One wonders whether he would even have reported the abduction, if all he caught out of it was a beating.

Then why did they haul him all the way out to Great Neck to burn him in a dumpster? He wasn't from there.

The bumbling crew that abducted him, may have panicked after realizing that they had killed him. Due to the snowstorm, their options were limited, so they drove as far as they could, and dumped the body. Don't know why they torched the wrapped remains; otherwise, he may have wound up in a landfill & no one would ever have known what happened to him.

At lest one of them might live somewhere near the dumpster too.Murderers often feel more confident dumping bodies on their home turf.

Work, perhaps, but not live. Don't **** where you live!
NYPD DB will brainstorm & cover all angles. They suspect the van owner, will be checking all the videos & phone records, perhaps already have IDed all the players, but need enough evidence to make the charges stick, or for one to flip.
