Queens Man Arrested For Brutal Beating Of Gay Journalist: Gothamist

So it looks like they caught the perpetrator. It's not being charged as a hate crime, and the victim wasn't robbed. Was this just a random knockout game? I hope the perpetrator is prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law.

Fortunately there are street cameras everywhere, I'm sure they got the license plate number of the car the perpetrator drove away in.

Yes. He worked for the New York Times and was the victim of a knockout. There were articles written about other knock out victims.

Im glad that he was caught. I hope this brings some closure however its still a long road. I personally know Randy Gener and its real sad something like this can happen to someone who keeps to himself. Whats really grinds my Gears was that he was less than a few feet from his building where he resides.

As a gay, half-Asian, New Yorker, a “knock out game” sounds even more sadistic, ludicrous and barbaric than a hate crime. If true, I hope the perpetrator gets put away for a very long time.

The Daily News says it stemmed from an argument when the victim bumped into the guy's girlfriend on the street.

LOL, so true. a typical mother, isn't she? not all, but some of the bad elements in an adult's behavior can be traced back to early childhood education at home. just wake up and get ready to visit him in the prison for as many years as needed.
