Hi,

I'm looking to attend my first Islanders game sometime this month. I don't own a car so I would be taking public transportation from the Fordham section of the Bronx.

Could someone tell me the best way to get to Nassau Coliseum by train or bus?

Thank you.

My guess would be that you'd have to take the LIRR to the Hempstead station and bus or cab it from there.

Q44 to Jamaica Station (take an hour!), then LIRR to Hempstead. I believe one has to take a cab, unless MTA put a bus route from Hempstead to the Coliseum since the last time I was out there!

There are bus routes from Hempstead LIRR, but check their frequency

The best way is to wait until next year and then take the 2/4/5 or D train to Barclays.
