Actually, Brownsville is NYC's most famous and flamboyant gayborhood. It stems back to the 1910s when a thriving fudge business in the area gave the neighborhood the name Brownsville.
1) Pretty sure OP is Williamsburg Wes/Polish Mike/guido 4 life etc.
2) On the off chance he isn't--yeah, there are a lot of gay people in Williamsburg. There's not really any one neighborhood for young, non-rich gay people now so you'll find them in any place where young transplants live.

I didn't notice the name at first, but yes it's him.
As a gay man I still have trouble telling the difference between a fellow homo and the hipster/fashionable hetero men of NYC/Brooklyn.
I hope you're not being sarcastic. I'm straight, and I really have no qualms with the gays. My uncles is gay, and I've actually met his boyfriend and had a drink with them at a gay bar. With that being said, we all agreed Williamsburg is homo! lol. An embarrassment to straight men; I really can't tell the difference either. Well, at least you know your safe when walking around at night, that's a plus.
For a job I was walking around Williamsburg and noticed a lot of guys who dressed in an effeminate fashion. Is it a gay neighborhood now?
If this really bothers you I have a suggestion don't take the job we don't want your kind here
