I'm planning to park close to Steinway street where my Grandmother lives, and take the R train into the city. However, I heard there is no R train service after midnight. What other alternative would I use to get to Steinway Street after midnight?

Thanks!

E train runs local on Queens Blvd over night. So take the E train.

Everything's probably local at that time of day.

If you already know what day and time you're going, just plug that into the MTA trip planner and it will tell you which train to take. It's programmed so that if you select a 1:00 am trip, it won't send you on a train that doesn't run late nights/early mornings. MTA NYCT - Trip Planner+

And yes, the E runs local after a certain time. That station (Steinway) doesn't just lock up after midnight.

Thank you for that link, Henna! Definitely going to use it in the future.

Yes, as already mentioned the E runs local in Queens after midnight until the morning rush hour starts the next morning.

The F isn't. Day, night, weekend - always express on the Queens Blvd line.

OP, the N can also be an option. 31st Street to Steinway is a pretty short walk.
