What does it have to do with Paterson? Am I the one claiming my city is so great? Nah, son, u the one. I actually said NYC area is all fd up.
You have no credibility on how commenting how bad NYC is, look at where you're at now. It's like if you make fun of how my house looks, meanwhile you're in the shelter. Run along now.
I should go to the NJ forum and post some things that they say about Paterson on here. Always people from out of town come on here and have the biggest mouths, that part about it I really don't get.

What a fool no? Apparently driving 4x4 trucks is worse than sitting on a stoop drinking beer every day/night for 23-25 years before catching a bullet in between SSI payments. This place is bizarro world and too many people fall for its intoxicating spell.
lol Well, it was jus ignorant, for some reason some people around here think there is no other world besides NYC and everything else is a wasteland with no culture. What cities are you considering?

Well, I have credibility cuz I know NYC. Actually, u the one that did that first, by disregarding those other cities, implying they have so much crime, while forgetting where u live. Do I have more credibility if I tell you Im moving soon? Thats first of all, and second-it doesnt matter who lives where, its important to see reality.

I don't have to imply, the stats are all on the Internet - you can go see for yourself.
Comparing the hood in New York to the hoods of Chicago, St. Louis and Detroit (what you did) is a joke. NYC is soft compared to any of them. Nobody said NYC doesn't have any bad areas - but nothing as bad as those 3 cities you compared it to. So I agree with you, it is important to see reality. So stop being blind and just talking because God gave you a keyboard.

wateva lol thats not even the point, everywhere has hoods
Ok - and the problem is like I said a few threads back - the people that complain can't afford the lifestyle they want (or think they are entitled) to live here. Every few weeks somebody starts a thread with the same premise....
Times change. NYC used to be a manufacturing city. A blue collar guy could work in a factory and buy a house and the wife could stay home. NYC has little manufacturing areas left. Manhattan south of 14th Street used to heavily industrial, that's completely vanished. When people realize that times, the economy, and demand changes, then they will come to realization with how things are. Complaining about the rent?? Go get a second job, go back to school to get an advanced degree, or move. Either way - change your life, because the rents/taxes are not coming down because you feel some kind of way about it.

I find it pretty annoying how entitled people can be. Expecting the very best apartments without bringing the life experience it takes to earn these places to the table. You want access to the best real estate in the world on a mid-level position, in the best building. People overestimate their value, especially if they were top performers in secondary markets. That only means you got to the top in second place. Which doesn't get you first class here.

It's called venting, man. One can be secure in their career or whatever they're doing and still find major annoyances with the new New York and it's current inhabitants. And some people cannot just up and leave so easily. It's just venting. Online forums are used for that sometimes...
