Another post has been speaking of this crowd so I thought I would add a little proof of the OWS "Climate Activist" people who are the biggest of all hypocrites.

This is what they left behind. So much for taking care of Mother Earth

The signs are being broken down and recycled--what you are seeing is a collection point.

300,000 people in one place are going to create trash environmentalists or not -- and if there aren't enough trash cans/recycling bins then it ends up on the street.

What's the alternative anyway? Should we continue to pump the air with pollution to keep making iPhones in China?

You mean the Mail Box is a collection point? That street post looks like a collection point also!
If they were so concerned about the environment then they would take it with them to a trash bin!!! Not leave it on the street.

They were creating jobs called sanitation, not just wasting their breath complaining about a good cause. People are hired to pick up and clean up all the excess trash. The city will not just leave it there.

What's the point of this thread again?

Perhaps we shouldn't replace devices that are still working just to get the newest one.

No, I was referring specifically to the pile of signs on the street--and you know that.

The trash on the street is the inevitable result of 300,000 people being in one place at a time. Not every participant is a die hard environmentalist either--that doesn't discredit the whole idea that we should take care of our planet.

The city doesn't really put out extra trash collection areas and it tends to pile up at *every* event of this size.

I think climate change is just another liberal scheme to make money and control lives of people.

The city often removes garbage cans from parades and events like these to prevent bombings. This encourage people to throw their trash everywhere. Another stupid policy. Our municipal workers are the most incompetent bunch anywhere, where it's more important to focus on diversity that getting qualified people who can get the job done right. Go to any Asian city and see how a competent local government functions.
