I have lived in Forest Hills for 16 years now and it is extremely safe, plenty of buses and trains to get you where you need to go, so much I sold my car in 1999 and have never had a second thought. Forest Hills is the type of community you raise a family in, would recommend it to anyone.

I moved to Forest Hills in July of 2013 and I would concur with Chet. I've come home pretty late, sometimes a bit wobbly and have never had a problem. If you end up on a street with a lot of doormen buildings, all the better. I feel good knowing that even though it's a quiet neighborhood, the doormen are there in case I need to call on someone for help. I think you'll be happy with your choice of Forest Hills. Best of luck.
