Lmao seriously it's freaking obvious. You take the literally the longest local & complain about speed when there's plenty of express options. Talk about a rhetorical question...

The OP sounds worse than some tourists who ask me for directions lol.

Did you miss the part where I said I just recently moved here? I can't become a subway expert overnight.

I've taken other local trains and they still don't feel as slow as this one, but whatever.

Then, the quintessential NYC experience, would be for some Chinese man to tell you,
"R train always slow!"

Yesterday, Tues, I got on the 4 at Lex/59th and it just barely was creeping along all the way to Union Sq. Then is went full speed ahead till I got off at Brklyn Bridge. At one point, a downtown 6 literally passed 4. Strange.

Yeah, those cars are from mid-70s, and are likely going to be replaced within the next few years.

You mean Astoria down by Broadway? Because the (N) & (Q) cover the upper part of Astoria.

Yeah the Steinway/Broadway stop. I usually use it often when I go to Astoria from Woodhaven Blvd.
