hey everyone. I've been researching affordable housing but I'm unclear what happens with raise. Hpd usually has 1 or 2 year leases, say income req where 40k min 50k max.after 1 or 2 years say I make more than 50k what happens am I evicted?

perhaps it has to do with when you first apply for housing.

I've been reading some lottery threads and it seems after u get in it will follow rent stabilize rules. I'm not sure if all lotteries are rent stable though

I think this is a microcosm of what is wrong with welfare society. It removes incentive to better oneself.

Mark - first off - congrats with the raise. I truly mean that, I am sure it is the result of hard work, long hours, and dedication. The bad news is that it can remove you from affordable housing eligibility. However, there is something to be said for doing things on your own. I'd say take your raise, start working toward at he next one, and build your new life. Congrats on bettering yourself.

I think you have to re-certify ( bring in financial documents) every year and they will raise your rent accordingly... doubt they will evict you.. you'd probably be maxed out on rent for your unit.
