All the the Medicaid HMOs have to follow the New York State Medicaid Guidelines and so for the most part have difficulties getting the best doctors.

The best of the Medicaid HMOs by far is Fidelis. This is the one we have found to have the best primary care network, the best specialist network, happier doctors and better services provided by the insurer. Fidelis is the best. Affinity is ok. Healthfirst is the worst. I have no experience with Health Plus.

Healthfirst has some underhanded deals which allow it to market more and get higher stars that than it deserves.

People are recognizing that Fidelis is better that is why Fidelis keeps hitting records in terms of enrollment every month. I believe they are over 1.4 Million members now.

So if you have to choose between the medicaid HMOs. I would suggest going to Fidelis.

Which of these Child Health Plus insurances is the best for NYC?
Fidelis
Affinity
Metro plus
Health plus
Health first?

Has anybody done a better research than me in figuring out which one is the best?
Apparently NO drs at NYU accept HealthFirst but they do accept HealthPlus!

They drive me crazy.
Pls help?
I would just go to the pediatrician and pay the full cost. A lot cheaper overall for kids that way as I see more and more middle class people switching to paying full cost than dealing with health insurance.

The whole ACA and Obamacare is a scam to get middle class people to pay for the poor while the rich just opts out of insurance or have companies paying for theirs. Which is why next year many more insurance companies will stop providing insurance to Obamacare

pretty much that is what happened . the premium costs , the deductibles and out of pockets made the fine the best deal of all for the healthy and young .

in 64 years i have never ever spent more in a year than i paid in for insurance .

why would someone pay 5k in premiums just so they could then pay another 3k in deductibles and over 6k in out of pockets when they barely spend 1k in a year for healthcare costs .

the fine is a steal . so we end up with aged , the sick and those who are to chicken to go without inssurance funding it all . it is the very healthy and young that are supposed to be in the pool funding the sick .

but it is so expensive it back fired
