I've heard from some TA employees that it's dirty including the crew rooms. Whenever I come from that part of the Bronx I take the 4.

Why you do want to live all the way up there?

If it's similar to the 183rd St. D station (I use that station fairly frequently when visiting my favorite West African restaurant in the city), then its not that bad.

It is dirty but cheaper than a cab and very fast and convenient to get downtown

Its not any different than any other underground station in the Bronx. Its kind of dirty like most other stations but nothing specially bad about it.

If you want to be that picky take the express bus BXM4 bus on Madison Ave up to the Bronx, it will drop you closer to where you want to be.
