KK, if you need a lot of major work, you might want to sign up for once of those dental things - not sure how they refer to themselves.
There are tons of them around, and it might be worth your while to research them. I tried one that was called, I think, either Dental Save or Northeast Dental, based in Manhattan, and although I ended up having a poor opinion of them in terms of their website being unhelpful and their staff being unresponsive, nevertheless, they were offering a very good deal financially. However, you need to watch out and choose your dentist carefully - maybe checking before you even sign up to see who's on the plan.

I am NOT a trusting person, and that caution has served me well in the past. If I smell a crook, it is likely there is one nearby.
As me and my family suffer from dental issue always. So, we used to go to a good dentist near my residence who also provide pediatric treatment to my children too.
I’ve been going to Smile Arts of NY for 7+ years. Never had a bad experience, neither did I ever feel pressured to do a procedure. It’s been one of the most pleasent experience going to a specialist I’ve disliked the most. I send all my family and friends to that office, everyone calls me back to thank me.
The main dentist is Dr. Mann, but his other dentists are just as professional. The reviews they have online speak for themselves.
This is coming from someone who has the same barber for almost 15 years, once I find the right one, I stay loyal to them.
I have AARP Medicare Complete Mosaic HMO from United Health Care. THey have a dental component of sorts. THey don't PAY anything but their network of doctors agree to a payment schedule which is about half the going rate for EVERYTHING, not just cleaning and X-rays.
I use Eliot Folickman on Central Park West in the '80's. I'm happy with him and would recommend him if he is in your insurance network.
