Once you leave Manhattan, there are plenty of men of all kinds.Also, what is this dumbness with a preference for only white American men? What happened to Asian American men? Something wrong with Aussies? Something wrong with Argentinians, Venezuelans,etc? What about Canadian expats who live here? Other Europeans like Russians, Ukranians, Spaniards, Italians, etc? Some of them are successful business owners and others work in all kinds of corporations. I'm talking about the permanent residents, not the work visa people - for those who worry about "greencard marriages." What is so great about a Wall Street "Jordan Belfort" type? What is this Victorian obsession with "American 7 figure earning corporate guys"? Most of them are die hard womanizers, serial husbands who marry a dozen times to plastic looking women - they don't want the average woman.With their money and status they can buy a dozen women who look like Melania Trump and are 20 years younger. Average Mary, you have 0 chance. Stop smoking drugs and wake up.
Because for a certain group of females this is the ideal:
A white, successful, preppy/Ivy League guy from a "good" family.
Technically Italian, Irish, Polish and the other European descent American males are "white" but if they are middle class, blue collar/working class the cachet isn't the same apparently.
Asians? Asian women are the most ruthless I've found in going after white men. However they are willing to accept a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds depending upon their personal situation. What seems to matter most to them is money/assets. They don't seem to care if the guy is contractor or doctor.
No, it hasn't. Because gay acceptance has not increased the supply of quality straight men. Gay acceptance has only taken an additional option off the table.
It might have been a poor option for straight women (a gay husband). But it's one option removed, without any additional straight men to take its place.
There are good men but they are bums. All the good men could afford to get an import model as well. A good chance that good men do not want to play the field because they have loved ones even if they are not with them. Numerous studies and recent research has shown the trend in marriages at least for a certain segment of the demographic is that college educated persons tend to marry each other. You only have to look at the POTUS and his wife to see proof of this.
You can look in any Sunday paper at the wedding and engagement announcements and find in particular among white/European Americans the trend is *like* marries *like*. Even when they marry out of their race/ethic group white college or above educated man prefer women with same. Interestingly you see the same thing with gay males. Doctors marrying hedge fund managers; lawyers marrying other lawyers; Harvard marrying Harvard; Yale marrying Princeton, etc...
Yes, you do find successful men marrying a secretary, office worker, nurse or some such, but by and large educated men want a woman who at least on paper is their equal. For one thing they want any potential children to grow up in/have the same values that they themselves hold. In the movies you get Mr. Harvard marrying a hood rat and everything working out, but that rarely happens in real life. Their backgrounds are just too different and things come to a head when those differences come into play say in how money should be spent/invested and or children raised.
Finally white/educated men are not interested in carrying a female. That is should things not work out they don't want to be saddled with years of alimony payments because their now ex-wife who had nothing more than a high school degree or "some" college cannot find work that supports her "in the manner she has become accustomed..."
On the other side of the fence increasingly college educated and or advanced degree holding white women are having to dip into the "working class" or "middle class" pool of men to find partners. African-American and to an extent Latina/Hispanic females with college/graduate degrees often have a *very* hard time finding mates with similar backgrounds. Yeah, Michelle Obama did ok for herself, but plenty of Sisters aren't.

Another co-worker of mine, who is only in his mid 30s and well liked by many white female workers who often tries to flirt with him but he is not interested. He's dating an asian woman that's a snob and has zero personality. And I thought only blonds with 36DD can be snobs in NYC.

It is more than just porn IMHO.
Especially for guys in the Forces. They get over there and females or even trannies make a bee line for "GI Joe". Yeah even a good ole boy from Georgia with barely a high school education is streets ahead of what these girls will find in Thailand, Philippines, Japan, etc... but the real prize is marriage and getting on US mainland soil. Once here and they have that green card or whatever that is usually when true colors start showing. Whereas before she couldn't get enough now she's withholding until "GI Joe" brings home more money, sponsors her family members to get over here.... Meanwhile he's working all hours god gives and she's doing God knows what with God knows who all day.
Lots of men in law enforcement or any other civil servants job in this city get screwed over for the women they date or marry. Lots of times it's generally women that they meet on the street. I know of a friend of mines, who is nypd and an associate who I'd papd. Child support claims are killing men on these jobs. Most of the time, these men are with hood women, or even average nyc women like ethnic white women like Italians and Puerto Ricans. Most of these women carry plenty of baggage from kids from other relationships, and emotional baggage along with it. These women want a decent working man? No. They are truly independent women of the streets of NYC. A decent guy in this city are screwed. My best bet is for guys to visit the suburbs or some small college town to meet women. Transplant women and native hood women have no shortage of men to sleep around with and most are content with what they have even they they are used up in a cycle.
On another note IIRC NYPD and FDNY have some of the highest divorce rates among City civil servants. FDNY in particular because they only work two or so days per week. The rest of the time their wives/girlfriends may never know where they truly are. Both are out and about in public often so there is frequent contact from females on the street, and quite frankly a nice looking or even average guy in a FDNY or NYPD uniform gets some females going....
FDNY in particular tend to be fit and that calendar hasn't hurt broadcasting said fact around the country/world. There is no shortage of FDNY groupies if you will that hang around firehouses or wherever they can meet FDNY. Remember this hoe and scandal?
By all accounts that female was a dog, so you can imagine what kind of play an average to attractive female gets from FDNY or NYPD. Both brothers will cover for their own, so if his wife or main GF calls up and or wants someone to vouch for he was where he said....
Now plenty of certain women in NYC won't marry a blue collar/middle class guy white, Italian, Irish, Black or Latino; but that does not mean they aren't adverse to being turned out in a way their main attraction (Mr. Harvard Preppie) can.
Know a few Latino/ AA men who are doormen/building workers in these high rise luxury places in Manhattan that are hitting one or more tenants (married or single) and their girlfriends as well.
