Hi All,

I'm pretty new to the city, about 3 months, and I'm not really digging my site. I was wondering how easy is it to transfer from one agency to another, in the same title? Right now I'm provisional, but I took the test, and there's no way I failed it so I should have my title within 6 months or so.

Yes. The test was on January 5, 2008. I've heard it takes them about 6 months to establish the list.

I don't really think that you can transfer from one agency to another. I believe that you would have to apply for another agency that's hiring for that position.

The same way you applied for the civil service clerical position. Just check the DCAS website to see if there's any opening for that position in another agency.

Current civil service openings for this month: DCAS Monthly Exam Schedule

Starting Feb. up to June: Yearly Exams Schedule
