The white ethnics got it after WWII and now it's the black and puerto ricans turn.
I agree.

I also agree that de Blasio is baiting - or something. Perhaps he just isn't very smart.

It is ironic that many NEers with little to none exposure to the south are deeply trapped in backward views on the new south today when it comes to racism. Per my experience/observation, racial tension and conflicts here in this "diverse" city are more real and obvious than most southern cities.
In my opinion, the Research Triangle Park Area in NC is far better than Atlanta. You don't have the same level of segregation, plus the RTP area is filled with highly educated people.

The below vlogs were filmed in the RTP, (Raleigh-Durham) NC area.

Also, you better not be a smoker in NY, I hear price per pack is either the highest in the nation or near it...

And ok...it's been awhile since I purchased clothes in NYC (since my favorite store opened up in Austin) and I thought $500 was rather generous of the city ...

That's very silly. People don't naturally want to leave home, unless they want to leave, plus most people can't afford it.

I just wanted to chime in and say "gentrification" is a big problem here in Philadelphia. One of the biggest problems in fact. Yuppies and hipsters have moved into formally 19th working class factory neighborhoods like Northern Liberties, Fishtown, Olde Kensington, Brewerytown ... and the places have become trendy and expensive.

I believe America is becoming re-urbanized. Millennials and other younger people no longer have the dream of their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents: a house in the suburbs with a front lawn to mow and a large backyard with a deck and grill ... and a one hour commute, shopping in the mall with acres of parking, etc. They want a sushi bar, Thai restaurant, yoga studio, and craft brew pub all within a few minutes walk of their front door.

Compared to NYC (I was born near Flushing, Queens) Philly is a still a bargain. Not for long.

You called me ignorant. How nice. I am quite funny and yes food and clothing are more expensive in certain areas of the south.

Are you still awaiting Texas to explode?

These are the most vile and despicable sub human and evil creatures on earth.

The Pyramids of Egypt are still standing but we're now being told that these housing projects are beyond repair and must be torn down. It's not "fair" to the residents of these human Habitrails to be forced to live in these apartments built barely 50 years ago. Really?1??1

And, surprisingly, the projects in the most desirable areas are the most unsound. Of Course!!!!! Surprise.

Leftists are pure evil.
This post is actually quite ignorant (and I don't throw that word around much). Many of the first project dwellers were white by the way.

So I guess conservatives can do better? Show us how.
