It doesn't say where it is exactly located in the website but it says that it's a 7-10 minute walk from Lehman college's campus and that its in Bedford park

I would just commute; saves money. If you have the money to spend though, the experience is pretty worth it for at least the first year.

Bedford Park is a pretty safe area as long as it's really Bedford Park which is North of Bedford Park Blvd . As you go South of Bedford Park Boulevard it can get a little sketchy . I know a lot of peole who live in Bedford Park and spend a fair amount of time there at all times of day and night. Never a problem of any kind.

Just looked it up. Dorms are at 247 Bedford Park Boulevard. It's pretty benign around there and only a few blocks from the campus, subways, a metro north station and the Botanical Garden.

I wouldn't worry about safety either, but you do find people often hanging out in front (who knows, maybe they're students). Such a small building for a dorm too!

Would you mind sharing how much they charge per year? A lot of students rent elsewhere in the neighborhood. I'm thinking that may be a better deal than the dorm.
