They just installed the new LED lights on my block in Queens and they are so bright it looks like a movie set. They are almost too bright. Anyone else here have them where they live?

Def too bright. Streetlights have always been IMO.

As bright as they are, they "pollute" the sky less as the light is directed downward and does not radiate like the older bulbs.

They are very bright. They recently installed them on my block too, and I sometimes get home from work past midnight and they really light the street up. I actually really like it though.

I like the new lights, but I think the fixtures they come with are very ugly, the old ones looked so much better

I had them since Hurricane Sandy. They are much brighter, but it will take decades to get over that familiar orange glow.

They probably use less electricity despite being brighter.

There are complaints about this in just about every neighbourhood where they arrive.
