The one I'm talking about is 432 park avenue. How did that get approved? It looks absolutely awful.

432 Park is built as-of-right. It is built according to existing zoning codes and not in a landmark district, so it did not have to go through the ULURP.

I've read that due to the downturn in ultra lux apartments, they are splitting up the floors into two apartments rather than one (as originally planned).

I hate that building. It was inspired by a trash can! The trash can is prettier.

432 Park Avenue | Harry Macklowe | Rafael Vinoly

New York zoning is a joke now.

People should be speaking to their local council members if they'd like to see changes made to the zoning code.

I'm sure people complained about the Empire State Building way back when.

432 Park Ave is annoying because you can literally see it for miles north, south, east or west. Can see that blasted building from three or four avenues off Central Park on the UES or UWS once below say 87th Street.

ESB takes up a block and a chunk of an full avenue....432 looks like a thin pencil building...a bit unsightly in my opinion
