jdiddy great forum i really like all of these mega towers but my favorite would have to be the chicago spire its something that is totaly different and it will never be mistaken for another skyscraper and the fact that its 2000 is also amazing.
I think the Spire is the type of design that is likely to look better in reality than it does in renderings. Aqua, on the other hand, looks brilliant in renderings, but I'm unsure as to the likelihood it will live up to its design.
The only building I truly find to be an eyesore is the tower in Vegas. It just looks like ugly Dubai-style tall for the sake of tall.
The Aqua in Chicago is one of the most unique designs of all time, therefore gets my vote. The Spire has grown on me, but isnt my favorite design, but its height is what makes it special. Ill have to wait and see when its done to get a thorough opinion.
That Vegas building is about as ugly as it comes. I hope that project gets the boot, thats hideous.
The problem i have with the Chicago Spire is that clashes to much with the rest of the city's architecture. Its one of those buildings that looks interesting on paper for how radical it is, but the fact that this monstrosity dethrones the epic Sears tower all while simultaneously ruining the neat organization of the skyline is such a disgrace.
Hmm, I guess ill have to give it a second chance. Once its completed I'll take a trip to Chicago to form my true opinions on the tower. Maybe ill be surprised.
i chose miami. it will be more dramatic given it's skyline. the vegas tower looks like it should be in dubai.
