I thought the Comcast Center definitely deserves some mention. It's Philly's new tallest (975') and has really done a lot for the skyline - nothing too gaudy-looking with just the right amount of modernity. Its exterior is near completion, but it won't be until around spring of next year that it's completely finished.

Some of the other projects mentioned look really exciting, though. I love architecture.

Don't be so sure of your self! If the FAA had something to say, they should have said it over a year ago, this buidling is supposed to start construction on Decemeber and Tony G. (whoever that is) publicly announced to the FAA's statement 'NO WAY!', im pretty sure its going through

Signature Tower isn't dead and is actually much closer to becoming a reality than a few of the other proposed supertalls in this thread. Giarrantana doesn't have to listen to the FAA's recommendations.

I'm also not sure why some feel Nashville is "too small" for a supertall. Is there some sort of minimum population that a city needs before it decides to invest in it's future and build over 1,000 ft.? If so, that certainly hasn't stopped Dubai, which has roughly the same population as Nashville's metro, from building a handful of supertalls including the world's tallest.

Permits pulled for Giarratana's Signature.

I like the looks of NYC's new Freedom Tower...and I definitely give it the "Most Improved" award compared to its original concept. The first idea they came up with totally sucked...but thankfully more tasteful heads prevailed, and what they're building now is really cool.

The Chicago Spire, I like that alot too...that might be my "close second" favorite.

LOL! I agree with y'all about the Las Vegas one...that thing is butt-ugly!

Looks like a failed design from 30 years ago, just dusted off for another try...
