Starting today, New Yorkers earning 60 percent of the area median income can apply for 75 brand new units at 225 East 39th Street, the 36-story, curving glass high-rise from the Fisher Brothers and designed by Handel Architects. Located at an interesting crossroads of residential Murray Hill and tower-laden Midtown East, the 373-unit rental offers an impressive pack of amenities, including a fitness center, swimming pool, hot tub and sauna, yoga studio, game room, outdoor terrace, courtyard garden, roof deck with cabanas and barbecue stations, and on-site parking. The affordable units, which may be required to pay additional fees for some of these amenities, range from $833/month studios to $1,247/month three-bedrooms.
I have CB pref but a very high number. Writing this one off. Even if I were to hear something, I doubt it would be before summer 2017. I've been to this rodeo before.

Yup, way over. I'm almost off the number system, like into infinity...not even thinking about this anymore.
Wow .. I am in the 40,xxx's with CB so hoping for a shot on this one ... I got contacted for paperwork on another lottery with a log of over 70,000 and CB preference so fingers crossed
Hey, thanks. Maybe I'm in then. But I'm not going to think about it. I'm just going to go ahead and live my life. And remember, the CB preference is now diluted because of the requirement to give preference to people living in shelters -- but they still have to qualify and will be put through the same rigorous paces as the rest of us. I don't expect either this or the copper building to get rolling before March -- this building seems less on track than the other one. But good luck to all.
The area is great, but that particular street isn't the best. It's frequently clogged with cars exiting the Midtown Tunnel, so expect exhaust fumes and honking during rush hour.
