I like the Northern Blvd location. The Woodhaven Blvd one is too cramp.
Agreed, the one on Woodhaven is pretty small. Like a hole-in-the-wall place (but I guess that's part of its appeal). I ate there with a friend last year, and it has had a slight dip in quality (while the prices went up a bit, as well).
Went back to the Brooklyn location today and was sad to find out that they closed permanently, even though they are listed as being open on both the Pio Pio website and other websites. I went to the Reno Park location instead as my family really wanted to try the place. They absolutely loved it and will definitely be back!
It’s mostly about sauce. You can apply that sauce to friend shoes and sell it at Pio Pio and it I’ll taste just as good.
Strangely enough. The green sauce has nothing to do with Peruvian cuisine. I learned it the hard way when I went to Peru to look for the most amazing chicken with green sauce.

I don't know. The food is exquisite without the sauce, too, IMO. The chicken is perfectly cooked and flavorful on its own. I love everything that comes with the Matador Platter. Their steak and fish dishes are pretty good, too, though not every location has them.
