I'm moving into a room on E 194th and Bainsbridge this weekend. I'm so anxious to move from where I'm at now that I didn't really look into the crime rate in the neighborhood. Does anyone know how safe or unsafe this area is? Personal or second hand experience is preferred.

Seemed like a nice area to me.

Thanks for the reply. Did you live there once?

No, but I regularly had field inspections in the area. Never sensed any danger.

This is not going to help much but it was a good, solid neighborhood back in the '70's when I lived and played around there: The Third Avenue El, French Charlies, Fordham U., Roosevelt High, White Castle, Modells, Sears, and Irish pubs galore. What more could you ask for?
