I wonder what the NYC culture would be like if the European Americans were still the majority like back in the 1950s and 1960s?
Would cultural diversity been less accepted like in this era?
From what I know about mid 20th century NYC, cultural diversity was definitely a major sticking point.
Irish did not like Germans did not like Italians did not like WASPs did not like Puerto Ricans did not like Irish, and so on and so on, in a big neverending ring of greaser battles with bike chains and stilettos.
It will be the same as it is today. Don 't let no one fool you that there was not any crime and hooligans running the streets. Roving street gangs and street justice was normal. As posted, all immigrant groups hate each other, and one feels superior than others . Poverty sees no color lines!
