Has anyone appealed with HPD and won? I was rejected for credit score/history even though my score is above 580.

This link shows the requirements, not just a credit score of 580 or above. Having too much debt can also disqualify you, for example.

Thanks..I've seen that but its kinda confusing.

"If applicant’s credit score is below 580, applicant
must also fail to meet one of the other criteria detailed in these guidelines in order to be rejected."

So is being rejected for the other criteria only for the applicants who score is below 580? That's what i'm getting from it.

No, the developer may choose to accept applicants whose credit score is above 580 without looking at anything else. But they may also choose to reject people, regardless of score, based on the debt, evictions, etc., even if they have a score of 581+. See:

Quote:
Developers may choose to accept applicants with a
credit score of 580 on a FICO scoring system without
further review of their financial stability.
Basically, credit score doesn't matter. You can only be rejected based on a substantive reason listed in that document.

My credit score was 630 and I was denied based on having over 500 dollars in delinquent.
Was anyone approve for an apartment with breakingground after having an acceptable credit score and with a high collection/delinquent balance?
