I am 42 years old. I started to have brownish discharge after my period with the lower left side abdomen pain when my older daughter was 2 and half years old ( I was 34 years old). My period normally lasts for 7 days. The brownish discharge and pain come three or four days later, which can last another 7 or 8 days.
I did all kinds of checkups and saw different OBs. They couldn't find out why. They eventually put me on the birth control pills --Minastin 24 Fe. I have been on the pills for 3 years. I have my period every three months now, not regular at all. Every time my period lasts three or four days. No pain after my period.
I really want to stop the pill, but I tried once, the old problems came back---brownish discharge and pain. I had to start the pill again.
The birth control pill increases the breast cancer rate. I want to stop taking it.
Can anyone refer me a really good doctor in this field, please?
No kidding, try the outpatient clinic at Bellevue. The doctors there have seen EVERYTHING and you're more likely to get pointed in the right direction from the beginning.
