You should expect continuing rate increases for broad band internet services. The explosion in "smart phones" has strained fiber optic capacity allowing the long distance companies at last to raise rates. And many ISPs are imposing "data caps" on high bit rate connections.

always additional stuff . taxes alone run 30 plus dollars . i think we ended up at about 130.00 or so with all the dvr's we added . still a big savings from time warner's new rate

That sucks! I have Spectrum too. I called them about getting a deal and I was not impressed with what they had to offer. I was told I could stay with what I currently have with Time Warner.

Why did they increase your bill? Did you switch your service from TWC to Spectrum or did you have a deal that expired?

I find this very disturbing. I currently pay $137.00 for the triple play. I do not have any premium channels with the exception of Epix. I want to drop it but the Walking Dead is back and it is going to be a good season.

I looked into alternatives but I did not find their pricing to be competitive.

I used an antenna for a year for free. Free is good. You can get ION for free. It is a good channel. They carry the Law and Order franchise.

I had a bad feeling when I saw that man on the commercial. Welcome to Sprectrum.

Fios does come into my building, so maybe I should look into that.
That is insane for no premium channels.

get the internet only package from these providers, get a Roku device, and sign up for slingtv. the great package cost $45 a month for my pakage set up, look on the swingtv website for package pricing, and add it up!

we are doing 2 sets for under $100 a month.

I switched to Verizon years ago because my cablevision was way too high, now my FIOS bill is higher than Cablevision. Will drop them this year

I think you have to go back and forth between them if your building is wired for both. An internet acquaintance of mine cancelled FIO and his wife signed up for same for a substantial discount.

My FIOS triple play contract runs out in June ($154) and I will move to Specrtum who keeps sending me $98 triple play offers with price guaranteed for 3 years.

the 98.00 does not likely include taxes and fees which can run 20-30 bucks or more . nor equipment rental fees . i think our fio's triple play will be in the 140's . it started life as a 79.99 special . we have no options other than 2 -dvr's , no premium channels .
