Because there is a guy who does that a lot. Yesterday I told the librarian who told the guy to leave. He said no. No one including security did anything. There are no safety screens at the library. So is it legal to do that?

There was a big to do over this maybe five years ago or so. But yeah, legal. 1st amendment and all. They filter it to minors, but adults get unfiltered.

Usually, the library blocks access to the pawno sites, so he was lucky, and got one that the NYPL didn't catch. That's why there's no more internet access on the LinkNYC. People were watching pawno all Willy Nilly

He could possibly be arrested for public indecency but that would likely be thrown out in court. Usually libraries have some filter list like net nanny.

If they (Librarians) called the police, he would like be removed and given a "warning"

They have filters at the library, but you are allowed to disable them.
