Yea, man. I go way out to northeast Queens and that's really not accessible but worth it. I like West Indian food, but I don't see it being better out there than in more accessible parts of Brooklyn.
The BEST West Indian food is in Brooklyn anywhere on Utica Avenue and in the Bronx on White Plains Rd at a specific spot but the name escapes me at the moment. I can't remember the stop on the 2/5 because I'm usually driving or riding with someone else.
Voice your opinion to the people you see doing that, or call 311 and tell them to do a better job at picking up the trash in those neglected areas; or just volunteer and start doing it yourself. There is plenty of work to do. I don't like people who don't respect their own neighborhood either.

You can do that but if you have ghetto people living in your neighborhood that don't give a damn, good luck making a change. I see it all of the time in certain neighborhoods, and some people do it intentionally because they want the area to stay dirty and seedy in an attempt to try to deter "gentrifiers" from moving in.

I use to work with a guy who lived in Rochdale Village. I can recall him telling me some horror stories about that place.
The only reason he stayed was because he inherited it from his grandparents and was only paying $725/month for a 2br.
You got the price wrong , also were you on something when the guy was talking to you. It's been more than 10 years since Iv been living in Rochdale and nothing ever happened to me . And by the way Rochdale has it's own security

Most people these days don't do that unless they are undocumented immigrants or just fools trying to show what big shots they are. Nothing you've described is upper middle class, including your neighborhood. Working class at best. I would think that upper middle class people would have better English skills too.

Third informed yourself better , Rochdale is classify as a middle class area and there are some upper middle class people living it and I am one of them .I have money in the bank , I don't have any debts , I always have money in my pocket , and I have a well furnished apartment and I am making money and I live in Rochdale Village . So I can afford to look good , it seems that you GOT WET when you read that because you are BROKE , so like the quote says "Don't hate the player , hate the game "
