A lot of coffee shops sell local honey. The ones by me do.

If you want organic honey, go to Whole Foods. Honey has become very expensive though. There is one that I buy when I am sick from Germany to put in my tea that is very good (Langnese Country Creamy Honey). Food Emporium sells it. For local stuff, I would definitely buy something organic from Whole Foods, or try the farmer's market in Union Square. They have excellent things as well from the local farms in the area.

Actually I mean 'raw honey' - very different from all the honey you see being sold in coffee shops or whole foods. Many organic markets too don't carry raw honey

Thx

I don't see any other options aside from the farmer's market? Have you tried Andrew's Honey?

Andrews Honey - New York City Rooftop Honey

I believe they sell raw honey. I understand why you want it. I assume because of the health benefits? The unprocessed stuff is about as pure as you can get it, even better than organic, but be prepared to pay.

By raw honey, do you mean the honeycomb? I've never heard of cooked or pasteurized honey. Farmer's markets usually have vendors with apiaries, usually Amish. Most of the beekeepers use centrifugal honey separators for extraction.

I'm pretty sure he does, but that has to be incredibly expensive. I forgot what exactly, but the price of honey has been going up substantially every year. I believe output has been decreasing. Something affecting the bees.

Check this out:

Doesn't get any purer than this...

Glad I could help. I'm surprised you haven't tried the farmer's market in Union Square. They have fantastic things there. I wasn't so pressed for time I would go there more often.
