Any one have a good experience? The WC system favors employers, and permits injured workers to suffer financially. Everyone is given an award, and shooshed away. Employers law team appeals and drags the case as long and as much as they can.

What the WCB of NY fails to realize, some people get injured at work, and it is a life changing experience. It is hard for an injured worker to find a new line of employement. And find an alternate source of income. Lost wages are never replaced . And some injured workers are forced to tap into saving, and wait for medical care to be approved.

Elliott spitzer signed off on the many reforms in 2010, screwing older injured worker. Before the reforms, depending on injury, one can get life benefits of $400 per week. But now, the IW gets only a percentage for a set number of weeks.

The system is broken, and large insurance companies get to keep more of their profits. It is insurance after all and no fault like car insurance.
