Does the one drop rule even apply anymore? race is a social construct. if Italians, Irish, Eastern European, Greeks, Portuguese, and Jews can be considered white so is a significant amount of Colombians.
Most Colombians have visible native and/or Black ancestry. Race is not a social construct. Genetically they have significant non European elements.
At the same time to base an entire country of people off your friends at work?
Clearly your friends are part of the picture, but you’re claiming that they are all of the picture.
What I said was that stereotypes exist for a reason, and clearly some Argentines fit them. What I can't stand is people that try to act like these stereotypes came out of left field. Of course not all Argentines are like this, but clearly some are. Let's not pretend like that isn't the case.
I guess so, but also through trade agreements and shareholder interests. So many Mexican billionaires, yet so many people so desperate to make money that they must swim across rivers.

I never said none where like that. But to say all Argentines or even most is reaching. Attitudes towards stuff like this change too.
Most of my business is with Europeans. I'm always surprised by the racist remarks they make. When they are in the US I often have to tell them that they can't say certain things here.
If they are not oppressed then why do so many of them want to move here?
Because fiscal and or political conditions at home cause them to make that move.
Case in point South Florida which is a melting pot of Hispanic/Latino...
First Cubans came due to the revolution, and they were mostly "European", highly educated, and so forth class that were about to lose power. Successive waves have seen that bar lower and lower.
Then you have Brazilians and most recently the Argentines who were fleeing their country as it was (again) going through fiscal instability. So many were coming to the USA (and not leaving) that government finally changed the visa laws/rules to keep more of them from decamping.
For the record many Cubans in Florida that are "old school", that is came or are descended from the early arrivals are quite happy that US government began clamping down on "wet foot/dry foot" arrivals. Why? Because basically what is left in Cuba trying to get out are the darker and or poorer. The educated ones such as doctors and whatever long have had other ways to get out of that country and or even into the USA.
I don't find Europeans to be any more racist than Americans
Europeans are fine having Latin Americans, Africans and Arabs contribute to their current pension schemes, even if that means throwing welfare at them temporarily, but just wait until it comes time for reimbursement 15 - 30 years from now.
I do business with both Southerners and Europeans alike. The comparison isn't even close. Europeans are far more racist.
