Out of curiosity - does anyone know how is it that "artisans" have the means to gentrify neighborhoods? I see it even today. These artisans always complain about money, but they do so while living in gentrified neighborhoods. I've always been curious ...
Yes. They do. Many of them have jobs as waiters, bartenders, office temps, or other sources of income/jobs.
There's no need for you to hate on people and a lot of people on City Data need to check themselves on that matter.

As a waiter you can pay 1,000 a month for a room and you have your answer there. 5 roommates are not needed. As an office worker or a temp you can pay $1000 for a room.
