Did you watch the news story that links to about the woman with the 6 foot tall pile of trash that's 2 car lengths long that she keeps on the street outside someone's house? And all the city agencies are passing the buck because they don't want to deal with it. I think if that were my house and neighborhood, I'd be trying to gather a posse to cart away the trash while the woman pops out to get her fruit smoothie.
The garbage is less of a concern to me than the amount of dog excrement, streams of urine, and smears on the sidewalks. Any mayoral candidate with a strategy for solving that problem would get my vote.
