Didn't work everywhere. They were kicked out of France and parts of Canada after being made illegal. In Mexico they just blew up the cars and dismembered the drivers before the industry could even get off the ground...

Good riddance.
I tend to agree with this. They had a big competitive advantage for a while and failed to have foresight where their industry was headed. I think they got a bit too content and comfy.

I think this field of work in general is headed for extinction as autonomous vehicles or robot drivers will make human drivers obsolete. I say this even with the recent setbacks concerning autonomous vehicles.

And I say again the setbacks were from wannabe technology providers. The real leader, Waymo of Google, has insane amounts of testing and has only needed live driver intervention (not necessarily emergency related) once for every 5300 hours driven

The hack companies rushing to compete are giving everyone else a bad name

I drive for Uber. Easy 1,000 to 1,400 dollars a week. Going to finish in a few weeks when it’s time to graduate but very lucrative job if you don’t have much responsibilities like I do!

I go everywhere I let the Uber app guide the way.

Since Brooklyn is busy sometimes I’ll spend a shift just doing Brooklyn.

Farthest drop off from me has to either Toms River, NJ and White Plains NY.

I don’t even work full time to make 1K but usually do work full time to get 1,400.

Far Rockaways is always surging lol and technically I’m 20 minutes away but I don’t surge chase!

Surge chasing is easy, you just get the schedule of the biggest late night planes at Newark and JFK and about 30 minutes after landing log in and collect the fares
