I wish this were still the case for the guaranteed seating on the subway home, but alas, this trick works no more. Some of these wypipo are going deep into the Bronx, too.

I'm seeing more splashes of them around Mott Haven. When you see Becky shopping around at Fine Fare after the sun has set, alone, you know the changes are coming!

Slowly, but surely.

It will be more noticible once places like Bushwick gets super expensive

Then again, Mott Havem rents are going way up themselves, so maybe not

This post post needs some attention. It seems many on NYC CD doubt that whites can be targeted for harassment/assaults driven by race/ethnicity or that it can be a factor in being targeted for robbery.

Much more common in the recent past - but some folks need to get their heads out of the sand and recognize that some people see the presence of difference including "whiteness" -- defined according to the situation/surroundings as an affront that needs to be responded to by harassment and /or physical violence.

Muggers/robbers of course also take race/ethnicity into account when looking for a victim.I was at a "gang summit" meeting in the Bronx where attendees freely admitted they targeted Africans for robbery.

Robbery often has a power component as well as an economic motive behind it -- criminals love to recount how scared their targets were.
