Looking for experiences, please state if you are male or female and what your experience is dating in NYC and possibly how it compares to other places you have lived. I'm considering a job offer and my research has come up with everything from amazing to terrible LOL.
I don't date (i'm asexual / autosexual), but i'd imagine it's amazing in that you can hook up with anyone in a manner of minutes through dating apps and the sheer amount of people, and how terrible it must be for that same very reason. Plus I think NYC is full of gold diggers (male and female straight and gay and bi) always looking to trade up even though they have nothing of substance to warrant that trading up.

Dating in NYC is amazing for college educated male over 30 and females under 30. Woman under 30 can be extremely picky, because many want a guy who is either going to spend money on them or are very handsome so the average guy struggles in their 20's (as many handsome guys are willing to sleep with woman they wouldn't consider marrying given woman a false confidence in their potential suitors for marriage). When a woman reaches her 30's you can feel the desperation for them to get married, many refuse to date down so they struggle to find a guy.
If you're a male here (regardless of age and status) and cannot bag chicks, you're probably gay or really lame/creepy.
